A letter to my future self

Dear Future Self,

Please go in front of the mirror, look right into your eyes and answer my question:”Are you happy?” I hope from the bottom of my heart that your answer comes naturally:”yes”.

Are you the person that you’ve always wanted to become? Are you a writer?
How many people have you inspired until now? How many books have you written? How many people have enjoyed them? They better have an original story that anyone can easily fall in love with! I’m wondering what their titles are and how the covers look like…

By the way, have you become a teacher? If so,please be the kind of teacher that you’ve always wished to be! Don’t put pressure on the kids. You know what they need in oder to succeed.Teach them how to love themselves! If you do that, they will learn things about themselves and discover their own passion.Once it is found, they will have dreams and they will work hard for them.In that moment, they will realize what learning is really about. It may be exhausting to make them understand that,I know. But,at least try to…

What are you wearing right now? Are they clothes that you actually like? I hope so.
Please be yourself and keep your own style.Don’t be afraid of what the others think.Their opinions do NOT represent you! You’re the only one who can define yourself! Keep that in mind, please!

Have you spent time with your family today? Have you had dinner together? Please, say “yes”.I really don’t care if the meal was cooked by yourself or “take away”.It’s not about that. It’s about finding time to communicate with the people that you love.Spend as much time as you can with them.

Talking about how to spend your time…Take a vacation! Anywhere,as long as it is far away from the stress.Choose a place that you’ve never been to before and explore every corner of it.And,of course, take your loved ones with you!

How far away are you from your hometown? I hope that you’re somewhere you enjoy and you’re living with your whole beautiful family.Give them a hug.Every single day.Remind them that they are loved. They deserve it

P.S. I hope that you are happy with your choices and all of your life lessons.
SMILE,be yourself and live the life that you’ve always dreamt of!

Love,

your 17 years old past self
